PARK HOUSE MOSSAD CHRONICLES: I finally received a new assignment from the Mossad training center in Wheeling, WV down the street from Cabelas!! I was instructed to install a high tech, “dual purpose” (for highly sophisticated Mossad agent stuff)… sound system at the Park House. You think it’s easy?? It involves using tools… and I’m Jewish OY!! I secretly recruited  (shhh) my friend Jorge to assist me with this assignment. Phase I:  Deciding where to put the speakers… and how to hang them. Jorge suggested we seek the advice of a sound professional. He also  suggested using “speaker brackets” !! Ha!!  …I say use “duct tape”, problem solved!! Stay tuned for the next  progress report.

Friday January 6 @ 9:30PM…HIGHWAY 13!! Since first getting together on a bet to play on New Year’s Eve ’94/95, Highway 13 has been tearing it up at clubs and bars all over the east coast, playing their own mix of original rockabilly, blues, psychobilly and rock’n'roll songs. Originally a 5-piece, these veterans of Pittsburgh’s punk and alternative scene released a 7″ before paring down to the current 3-piece lineup of Woody Bond (guitar & vocals), Blair Powell (upright bass) and latest addition Josh Carter (drums). In the years since, they’ve been writing dozens of songs, drinking gallons of beer, and playing anywhere that will have them.
