BEER NEWS: Mark your calendar!!…Sept 9th is ROSHHASHANAH!!! (Jewish new year). The SHMALTZ brewing co and the Park House are happy to announce that for one whole week we will have the “REJEWVENATOR “and the”MESSIAH BOLD” as well as the “Lenny Bruce double IPA” on draft for $4.00 a pint. We will also be serving apple slices with honey so that ALL our fans and friends may have a happy and a Sa-weet new year.

PARK HOUSE NEWS:…PARK HOUSE OPEN MONDAY LABOR DAY!!!…… Congratulations to the Park House softball team! They clinched another trophy for our beloved  Park House….that makes it three winning seasons in a row. I heard it was a real nail biter at  Fineview field. The Park House team managed to win by one point. Did you know that  the  Park House is the only bar that managed to win a championship during it’s 7 month hiatus?… Long time Park House fan Collin is on his way to

England for 6 months. We wish him a safe journey. He better not come back with some funny accent..Hey Collin!!  In case your  reading this.. ….REPRESENT!!! …..There’s plenty to do at the Park House besides eating and drinking. Every table has a peg board game and the object is to eliminate as many pegs as possible until there’s only one peg remaining.If you have one peg remaining you’re a genius, two pegs…you’re smart, three… well..then… you’re  just plain dumb. The shelf life

“THE SHELF LIFE”. What more can the Northside ask for? I know that Friday is the 13th but it’s over at sundown…before Shabbat…isn’t that great? So it’s ok to come out of your dwellings AFTER sundown and come over to the Park House, sit back with a cold pint of beer and enjoy the music. Before I forget…the shows are…. FREEEE!!! Do you know what the SHELF LIFE STRING BAND and the FALAFELMASTER’S HUMMUS have in common?….We’re the only ones on the Northside in what we do and we’re pretty darn good!!

NEW BEERS:I don’t know what to say! The draft beers are poured so fast, by the time I write what’s on tap it may be gone.I can tell you what I have in the beer chest that’s ready to be tapped. The last time Dave and his band played here they rocked the Park House and gave a great entertaining show. I would recommend everyone to come and see and hear  for yourselves how much fun and entertaining the band is. Show starts at 9:30 PM and it’s… FFFFREE!!

BEER NEWS: As of August 1st the happy hour drafts will be $2.00 OFF!! during the daily happy hour from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There are some new beers coming in this week and they are all draft beers …from New Holland brewing co we have Full circle, from Coney island brewing co we have the Sword swallower, Boulder brewing co….. the angry penguin just to name a few. Next month the oktoberfest beers will be available and we’ll keep all the Park House fans posted upon their arrival.

PARK HOUSE DEVELOPMENTS: The DART BOARD is available for friendly competition. Starting September 1st there will be a bluegrass jam session at the Park House every wednesday. Details will follow in the next few weeks. So till then …SEE YOU AT THE PARK HOUSE

And Park House bartender Jane B.who hails from Buffalo N.Y is nice enough to share with us a picture that she took of the devestation of the earthquake that has struck Canada and was felt throughout the northeast and her hometown in Buffalo N.Y. A graham cracker sandwich with Hershey chocolate and melted marshmellow.In fact we have named it MARY’S SMORES after the Park house fan who suggested the idea (See!!.. I do listen…..sometimes).And for the ladies may I suggest a glass of BAREFOOT merlot with a Mary’s smores mmmm…..yummy!

FALAFELMASTER’S FINAL WORLD CUP UPDATE Four years ago I watched the world cup final with three other people. Me, myself and …I. This world cup final  was a sea of orange here at the Park House. I would like to thank all the Park House fans for coming over and rooting for the Dutch team, too many names to mention. I would also like to thank the supporters of the Spanish team for coming to the Park House, Marlowe, Horacio and Sylvia HUP HUP!! The F’n OCTOPUS who supposedly is the ORACLE for FIFA has been permanently BARRED from the Park House.

The falafelmaster’s…WORLD CUP UPDATE I don’t know about anyone else but so far the USA team was the MOST ENTERTAINING team to watch. They delivered everything that we (that be us Soccer fans) could have hoped for. Coming from behind, tying the game and the Ghana game was great.We’ll see what happens in 4 years.
