John Denver tribute band @ Park House July 1st

Posted by on June 25, 2011

Love John Denver songs, like Take Me Home, Country Roads and Rocky Mountain High?  Colorado-based John Adams and his John Denver tribute band perform one night in Pittsburgh, while traveling between gigs in Colorado, Ohio and West Virginia. Launch your Fourth of July weekend with this unique musical appearance—the first in Pittsburgh and exclusively at The Park House on July 1st starting at 9:30.

Expect a world-class musical richness that Friday night.  Having performed throughout Europe and even in China, the John Adams Band features a host of talented musicians to give proper tribute to the American country music legend.

A native of Holland, lead vocalist and band leader John Adams now lives in Parker, Colorado and is committed to keeping the spirit of the American musical legend alive in his performances.  Having met with John Denver more than a dozen times, he also weaves insightful stories about his musical hero and friend into the performance.

Until John Denver’s untimely death on October 12, 1997, Adams saw most of Denver’s concerts in Holland, Germany, Belgium and England. He was not only inspired and influenced by Denver’s music, but also by his work as an environmentalist and humanitarian, by his love for children and nature, as well as by his commitment to end hunger in the world and his life-long promotion of peace on the planet.

Following Denver’s example, Adams became an Ambassador for Ronald McDonald Children Homes and worked seven years as a teacher in Elementary and High Schools for UNICEF, the Children’s Fund of the United Nations, helping to increase awareness among children about other children “outside their own world.”

Join John Adams and his band at The Park House for a magical musical journey through the songs and stories of the Rocky Mountain Legend: JOHN DENVER.  As always, the music is FREE, like the peanuts and popcorn!
