The Armadillos at the Park House April 3,2010 at 9:30

ENTERTAINMENT~> Saturday April 3rd  at 9:30pm…before the Easter bunny arrives…. join us for the musical talent of  the ARMADILLOS playing  folk/ rock/ americana. Check them out on their My Space page:  www.myspace.com/pittsburgharmadillos.  As an added bonus…. the Scottish band CALLAN will also be playing!! ….and as always the show is FREE!! like the peanuts & popcorn.

Park House hours on Easter Sunday ~>4:00 p.m. to 12:oo a.m.

FOOD ~> after many requests, and since it reminds me of home on the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao),…we will feature chicken-on-a-stick = CHICKEN SATE KU SALADA (on spring mix) with PIKA PINDA SAUS (spicey peanut sauce). I know that many of you may think of it as an Indonesian dish, but let me set the record straight…. the Dutch actually brought the recipe to the Dutch West Indies a looooong time ago….and soooo it is an awesome dish with many cultural influences!  Try the Beer Cake ~ chocolate cake made with Java Stout… very yummy! This week only, matzah will be available by request.

BEER ~> from Dogfish = APRIHOP in bottles…. and rumor has it that Magic Hat Brewery will have a new beer coming soon called BLIND FAITH available in bottles only. This weekend from Bell’s Brewery (drum roll please!) = OBERON on draft!

OBERON will be our beer special for the whole month of April!

Happy hour daily from 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ~> all  micro drafts are HALF OFF!! ….it’s a great time to try some new beers!!

“I” the falafelmaster and my motek… would like to wish a Happy Passover or a Happy Easter to all our patrons!….and remember people…DON’T PASS OUT…PASSOVER (couldn’t resist that one :)) !!

By the way, it has been suggested that I try to secure a diplomatic position to represent the Netherlands Antilles in Pittsburgh. For the record… the only positon I would be interested in is “Minister of Falafel, Hummus and Tabouleh” ..IF… it becomes available….but, until then….

See ya at the Park House
