This coming St. Paddy’s Day weekend

Posted by on March 10, 2010

Hola Park House fans!

It is “I”,  the Northside’s only Jewish leprechaun… and this weekend I will be wearing my official St. Paddy’s Day t-shirt to prove it!                                      .

The Falafelmaster’s Jew-Irish Side

ENTERTAINMENT: Aye lads and lassies… this weekend at the Park House will be a fine one, so come spend it with us!  Friday night our live concert will feature Northside’s the BLUES ORPHANS with PH loyalists Bob & Dave. The show starts at 9:45 pm until 12:30 am.  They are a great blues group, playing together since 1979, and an awesome way to start your St. Paddy’s weekend fun!  Then on Saturday, after the parade, the Park House St. Paddy’s Day celebration will continue with one of the best blue grass bands in the city of Pittsburgh (who also happen to be from the Northside)…THE SHELF LIFE! The music starts at 5 pm until 10 pm. The Shelf Life will be playing your favorite Irish tunes al la bluegrass style! Come listen to the free concerts with your friends while you drink your favorite Irish brews ….and munch on the free peanuts and popcorn!….and that’s no blarney!

NEW BEERS: This Saturday on tap…besides GUINESS we will have Great Lakes Brewery- CONWAY IRISH ALE and from Harpoon Brewery CELTIC ALE !!

MARCH BEER SPECIAL: on tap at $4.00 a draft ~ Green Flash

HAPPY HOUR: 5 to 7 daily ~ all imports & micro drafts 50% off

FOOD: We have added a a few new items to the menu including Yiddishe Mama’s Pastrami Sandwich and Motek’s Choice (a cup of chili or chowder with a side salad and pita).

NEWS: “I” the “falafelmaster” aka “Nanookowitz of the Northside”… and for one weekend only “Northside’s only Jewish leprechaun”… have gotten many inquiries about ” being closed on Monday” and questions concerning the large orange sign in the window. So, let me clarify… the orange sign is merely a formality…and it will be gone soon….and NO, I am not selling the Park House. As far as the closed on Monday is concerned…. everyone knows  by now that I work like a horse, but I don’t have to live like one… so Monday is my day to rest.  That is, unless our beloved Penguins have a play-off game on a Monday night at home or away (or if our beloved Steelers play on a Monday night at home or away)… then our beloved Park House would be open…. otherwise, it is my time to be with my beloved…in West Virginia!

See ya’ at the Park House…. and may the luck of the Irish be with ya’
